making this post to commemorate newgrounds 30th birthday. Newgrounds as a website means a lot to me; other than the fact that it brought some of my favorite internet series, I think the idea of a website that’s “everything by everyone” is incredibly rare nowadays. Almost every website from the days of flash has either been shut down or made into a soulless shell of its former self. Take a look at YouTube for example. Their slogan used to be “broadcast yourself” and while it still holds true to some degree, a lot of the content on there is mindless slop with big production values. Although there are still a lot of smaller creators out there, it feels more like a wasteland designed to make both the company and the creator as much money as possible. And thankfully, newgrounds NEVER fell down that rabbit hole. It still feels niche enough to not feel like a corporate hell hole, while also being big enough to feel like a home full of other communities. It really is like no other website on the internet, and I am so grateful that it is still around today, making the lives of many creator and the internet a much happier place.

ever since i first found out about newgrounds through eddsworld and Alan Becker, I’ve always wanted to be frontpaged. When I first saw, my heart skipped a beat. I am so grateful right now, and thank you tom for the gesture. I could say a million other things about how much it means to me but I don’t wanna bore y’all :p

My Brian May BMG Rhapsody is finally here!! I’ve been eyeing this specific guitar since I was in 8th grade.

I’ve only had this for about an hour, but it’s been nonstop fun. First of all, look at the picture. It’s absolutely gorgeous! It has a very high cutaway (21st fret) and it has a zero fret up near the headstock. Most awesome of all (in my opinion) is the 24st fret! I’ve only seen three other acoustic guitars with 24 frets, and two of them are only on the high E and B strings. This is seriously awesome! Wowza!

This thing is really comfortable to play. I’m built like a yoga ball, so it’s really hard for me to play acoustics because they’re really big. The body on this is pretty small, so I can play it ok. It only has one strap button, and I don’t have one of those straps that connects directly to the headstock, so I can’t tell you if as nice to play standing, but I almost always play acoustic sitting down so it’s not that big of a deal.

The action (at least out of the box) is phenomenal. It’s really low, almost like an electric, so it’s seamless to play. The sound is surprisingly wide. You wouldn’t expect it from something so small, but the sound is so full, kinda like my ovation. Expect unlike my ovation, it’s a million times easier to play.

Queen is one my favorite bands, and my favorite as a little kid, so it kinda feels like I’m living out my childhood dream. It’d definitely be cooler if I got the red special instead, and I definitely still want a red special, but I’m extremely happy with what I bought. It feels great, it sounds awesome, there’s no string buzz, it’s almost perfect.

My only complaint is that when it’s plugged in, it kinda sounds a bit blown out, like there’s too much output. Although it’s probably because I’m running it into an electric guitar amp, so I’d probably need to get an acoustic one to be fair, but I have almost no desire to plug it in because it’d run out the battery, so it’s not a big deal either. Although I will say it sounds better than it has any right to be when running through chorus, my harmonist, synthesizer, and even distortion. Sure there is a bit of feedback, but that can easily be fixed with a rubber cover on it.

All in all, from what I’ve played, I give it a 9/10. Like I said, there’s only one strap button, and it doesn’t sound the greatest plugged in (albeit through an electric amp) but other than that it’s literally perfect. Like, my dream acoustic perfect.

Words can’t describe how happy I am right now. If happiness was a picture, it’d be the one on this post. I am just so pleased that it is as good as it is. I’m almost starting to forget I blew almost a grand on it! But those who cower never live.

To distract myself from the fact that I was sad, I installed the iOS 26 beta. Here are my thoughts.

To start, it looks absolutely amazing and beautiful and gorgeous JUST LOOK AT IT

I redecorated my Home Screen as Frutiger Aurora because it’s my happy place and it’s awesome and stuff :)

They also added a new “depth” feature which makes it look kinda 3D (which might eat away at my battery but who cares cuz it looks cool)

as you can see it looks super pretty. I could honestly stare at it all day

now for the cons :(

To start with, some apps are very buggy, like safari. I can’t tell you how many times writing this when it crashed (spoilers it happened a lot)

Spotify was also nigh unusable, I had to do a lot of finicking to make it work. Although that probably isn’t a problem with the update but oh well

And my phone is a lot slower and a bit harder to use now, so there’s that

all in all, I give it 9/10. Sure, my phone is nigh unusable, but it looks pretty so I’ll deal with it

Writing this to let you all know that I might be less active on here for a little bit. I originally didn’t want to go too deep into it because it is very personal, but I feel like I should let people know what’s going on. I’ll delete this later though.

In a nutshell, I’ve been extremely overwhelmed and stressed out recently to the point where nothing feels real anymore. Drawing and music have been less fun too. I was considering not mentioning this, but on second thought, I don’t see too much harm since they don’t about this account to the best of my knowledge. Long story short, someone who I used to know in real life whose identity I will not be revealing due to both privacy and the fact that I don’t want them to be harassed or anything like that has been trying to contact everyone I know (irl, not anyone on here) and then some to convince them to turn on me due to some misunderstandings between me and them. This has been going on for almost year now, but recently it’s gotten so bad that im struggling to find a reason to stay calm. Im not gonna do anything to myself, i know better than that obviously, but i would be lying if I said that that hasn’t affected me at all. I haven’t taking care of myself as much as i need to because im both tired and overwhelmed by all my senses at the same time. It’s caused me to act quite erratic when im by myself and left with my own thoughts.

To clarify, I am not in imminent danger or have the threat of physical violence upon me, but even if I was feeling terrible, I generally don’t like telling people on here because not only is Newgrounds one of the few places where I can feel happy and at ease within minutes of logging in, but also because I don’t like being negative. I always try to look for positives in a bad situation most of the time. But earlier this week, I had enough of being bullied, gaslit and manipulated into being silent by this person that I felt like it was time that I stood up for myself and to try to clear things. I gathered me, them, and a few other people to try to explain my side and to try understand him a little more. I thought at the very least it was a start because they apologized for not knowing the full story. I thought it was successful. But just yesterday I found out they ignored everything that I said, and just start making up a bunch of shit to everyone who missed the call I set up. Suffice to say that almost everyone that I could still call a friend switched sides overnight, and now im all alone. I don’t have anyone to talk to outside of here anymore, and I feel as if im a failure. That I didn’t try hard enough. That maybe I didnt want it enough.

ive tried several times in the past to explain to everyone my point of view. I gave this person multiple chances over a year to try to hear me out even. But all of it has failed. I’ve been called every name under the sun, I found out that they’ve been saying shit about me for almost an entire year now behind my back to some people I genuinely thought were there for me all along just yesterday, and now everyone who I used to know at best is apprehensive, or at worst hates me.

im sorry that this devolved into a vent post (I don’t like putting myself out there like this in this fashion. That and the serious tonal shift between this post and the other stuff I’ve been posting over the past half a year) but I can’t stop thinking about it. And if im being honest, I could really use some words of encouragement now.

I’m trying my best, and I will pull through, but it’s just really, really hard to stay positive right now. Thank you to everyone who has read up to this point, and have a great night. As for me, im going to go test my new boss harmonist ps-6 that just arrived from eBay today. Take care everyone.
